11:30-12:15 – Eliis Väert ja Meelis Lang
Buying a tailor made software solution leaves a lot of room for imagination. The client sees a vision of an attractive and usable system that glues users to his services. Sales rep does his best to add some spin to that. And then reality strikes: the budgets are limited, design and functionality compete for the same scarce resource and designers turn from nice guys into engineers who start talking about wireframes, navigation logic and user testing instead of just waving flashy images of design outlines. We talk about how to budget, plan and execute the development process in a way that results in genuinely usable software.
